HRL Attends Sierra Leone National Special Session Qingdao Matching Conference

On August 13, the “Building the Belt and Road” International Service and Development Ecosystem—Sierra Leone National Special Session Qingdao Matching Conference was held at the Shandong Port Building. Ms. Huang Jingyi, President of the Qingdao China-Africa Chamber of Commerce and Chairwoman of HRL International Logistics Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.

Co-developing and Achieving Win-win Cooperation

The event, themed “Co-developing and Achieving Win-win Cooperation,” discussed new measures and opportunities for China-Sierra Leone economic and trade cooperation. Wu Hao, Deputy Director of the Foreign Aid Training Implementation Division of the Ministry of Commerce Training Center; Cui Zuo, Vice Chairman of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Qingdao Federation of Industry and Commerce, and President of the Qingdao General Chamber of Commerce; and Xing Dongliang, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Port Qingdao Port Group, delivered speeches at the conference. Sierra Leonean representatives included Sahr Diana Koroma, Deputy Director of Export Promotion and Regional Integration; Alfred Malsas Cooper, Executive Vice Chairman of the Sierra Leone Petroleum Regulatory Authority; and Wandi Lansa, Chairman of the Sierra Leone Trade Union Council, along with other domestic and international guests from Qingdao-related enterprises.

Chairman Cui expressed that in recent years, Qingdao City has earnestly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on promoting the “Belt and Road” initiative, continuously deepening exchanges and cooperation with Sierra Leone, and expanding a higher level of opening up. He looks forward to further strengthening communication and docking with Sierra Leone, expanding industrial cooperation, increasing trade cooperation, enhancing international cooperation, and deepening pragmatic cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Representatives from government departments, chamber organizations, and enterprises engaged in friendly exchanges with the Sierra Leonean government delegation, sharing forward-looking and practical insights and solutions in areas such as trade investment facilitation, urban business environments, and trade promotion systems.

On the day of the event, the Sierra Leonean government delegation was invited to visit the automated terminal of Shandong Port Qingdao Port Group and the Haier Eco-Experience Center, where they experienced the charm of China-style modernized smart green ports and felt the cultural genes behind Haier’s innovation and the continuous exploration spirit of the enterprise.

As a first-level agent authorized by the DRC cargo management bureau, HRL can directly handle electronic goods tracking services for 24 African countries, ensuring smooth customs clearance for clients. They provide product compliance assessment services for several countries and regions, such as Gabon, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria, ensuring that exported goods meet the relevant technical regulations and standards of the importing countries.

HRL’s Africa Regulatory Warehouse can provide full logistics services from loading at African mines to specified delivery locations within China, including mine pickup, transportation by dump trucks/rail/flatbed trucks to warehouses, loading and unloading, repackaging, warehousing, bonded logistics, maritime transport, customs clearance, and delivery. They offer comprehensive quality technical services that cover the entire import supply chain, including re-verification of weight and quality inspections for raw materials imported from African mines to unloading ports in China.
