On January 8, Zhang Jiangang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, led a team to HRL International Logistics Co., Ltd. in Qingdao to conduct a special survey on barter trade. This survey aimed to explore the new features of the practical application of barter economy and jointly seek new paths for healthy corporate development.
Sheng Binjie, Deputy Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Director of the Financial and Economic Office of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, along with Liu Jing, Director of the Planning and Supervision Division of the Financial and Economic Office, and other leaders participated in the survey. Huang Jingyi, Chairman of HRL, accompanied the survey and attended the symposium.
At the symposium, Director Zhang Jiangang fully recognized the achievements made by private enterprises, represented by HRL, in serving as a bridge in cross-border barter trade and contributing to its innovative development. He noted that cross-border barter trade could effectively integrate domestic and international market resources, better empower the development of the real economy, and contribute to the “dual circulation” development strategy. The delegation engaged in an extensive and in-depth discussion with representatives of HRL on key issues, including the status of overseas capital repatriation needs for Qingdao enterprises, the feasibility of implementing barter trade, and the challenges of launching barter trade pilots, forming targeted opinions and suggestions.
Finally, the delegation expressed that this survey not only deepened the understanding of the logistics industry and barter economy among various sectors of society but also provided valuable firsthand information for government departments to formulate relevant policies. They stated that they would summarize the survey results and submit targeted opinions and suggestions to the People’s Congress. It is hoped that through joint efforts, Qingdao’s logistics industry and barter economy can develop toward higher efficiency, sustainability, and intelligence, promoting the integration of trade and investment.
